India should not abolish death penalty

I do not care what the human rights people have to say simply because they are ambiguous in their demands. They may ask for death penalty in a rape case but won’t ask for the same in the case of a fanatic terrorist who raped an entire city. Why didn’t they stand for the rights of the policemen and the innocent people killed in the Mumbai terror attacks? If the death penalty is “inhuman”, was pumping bullets into the unarmed men and women or upholders of law a human act?

I completely agree with you. I had just read some random blog which said that Kasab shouldn't have been hanged. The reasons he gave to support his view, was that Kasab was young and misguided. My point is, even if you are misguided, the choice is yours. And since he killed "innocent " people under the pretext of being young, he should deserve the same treatment for not being that "innocent"! I feel, this is perhaps the only correct decision of the govt in this year.

Exactly! You are absolutely right when you say that this is perhaps the "only correct decision". And yes, you are also right in pointing out that a "misguided" man too has a choice. I applaud your insightful comment.
